$10,000 Cash Prize for Rapid Point-of-Care Diagnostics Innovations
CARLSBAD, Calif.—DCN Dx and Qiagen Lake Constance proudly announce the second annual Rapid Testing Innovation Award, celebrating cutting-edge advancements in the point-of-care diagnostics industry. The prestigious award, including a $10,000 cash prize, will be presented at the 2019 Advanced Lateral Flow Course in October. This accolade recognizes the most innovative rapid point-of-care assay or the most ingenious application for rapid testing during the past year.
The Rapid Innovation Award encourages creativity and entrepreneurship in rapid diagnostics, encompassing a wide range of applications, such as human health, veterinary or environmental testing, biological, chemical, or radiological defense, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food safety, and other pressing challenges.

Last year’s winner, RPS Inc., earned the award for its FebriDx technology – a rapid point-of-care test that significantly reduces unnecessary antibiotic use in acute febrile respiratory infection cases.
